The lectures for the Autumn Term have now been booked. The first lecture will be an introduction by Dave King, Jake Brant and Oli Genn-Bash, and a short presentation entitled ‘What is a Psychedelic?’. Dates will be added over the coming weeks. See the Schedule page for more information.
Birth of a Psychedelic Culture – Conversations about Leary, the Harvard Experiments, Millbrook and the Sixties places the reader in a room with Ram Dass, Ralph Metzner and Gary Bravo as they reminisce in great detail, and with delightful eloquence, about the people and events that inspired the psychedelic movement of the sixties. Gary Bravo is Chief Psychiatrist of Sonoma County Mental Health in Santa Rosa, California, and gently directs the discourse of the two Harvard psychologists, occasionally probing for greater explanation. The dialogue is punctuated by short recollections from a series of contributors, including Gunther Weil, Peggy Hitchcock, Rolf Von Eckartsberg, George Litwin and Michael Kahn.
